An atmospheric evening of chamber music in the exquisite candlelit setting of Ewenny Priory Church.
World-renowned exponents of contemporary music the Silesian Quartet perform two major works inflected by the folk music of their composers’ native lands: Górecki’s quartet ends in a tempestuous dance drawn from the Tatra mountains, while Vasks weaves Latvian song into his sombre reflection on the passing of the 20th century. The programme is completed by Szymański’s set of eclectic studies.
